Fall in love with this majestic 18ct yellow gold opal pendant. Elegant in every way, this opal and diamond pendant features a phenomenal single opal framed by one hundred and four round brilliant cut diamonds with a 9ct yellow gold cable chain necklace.
The impressive opal centre stone features a play of orange, green and violet and is surrounded by a glittering diamond boarder. Absolutely Heirloom-worthy!
“As well as being my birthstone, opal is in many ways the most fascinating gem in terms of its magical play of colour and mode of formation. It also has a rich history in antiquity, considered highly valuable and incorporating the virtues and properties of all the coloured stones of which colours it displays.
I was obviously initially impressed with the size of the opal itself at 47ct it is reaching the outer limits of a useful size for jewellery.
Once acquainted it reveals an attractive lithe drop shape with consistent and even play of colour, dominated in the desirable warm red orange end of the spectrum, while also providing contrasting glimpses of fluorescent green and electric blue.
The 18ct yellow gold mounting is sympathetic to the warmth of the stone as a fine rim of diamonds accentuates the elegant drop shape.” - Joseph Tattersfield

Same Day Delivery is available for deliveries to specific Auckland postcodes. Available Monday - Friday for orders received by 12pm (excludes public holidays). A charge of $20 - $50 applies for this service.
