Steeped in memory and meaning, this Vintage 9ct Rose Gold Greenstone 'Ake Ake' Heart Pendant is a deeply romantic relic of New Zealand’s wartime history. Traditionally given by soldiers to their sweethearts before leaving for WWI, these pendants were worn close to the heart as a promise of loyalty and a hope for safe return—“ake ake” meaning “for ever and ever” in te reo Māori.
