Stress-free Christmas Tips
Christmas is just around the corner - panic stations go! Here in New Zealand we not only have Christmas to coordinate, but summer holidays to organise as well.
But help is at hand. We've thought about the common Christmas pressure points and have a list of common-sense to get you Christmas-ready with less stress.
Start adding Christmas items to your weekly grocery list. Batteries, sweet treats and even sunscreen are good examples. Better still, start doing your food shopping online, it helps with sticking to a budget and means you don't have to battle the queues.
Order a ham, salmon filler, antipasto platter, whatever you fancy, well ahead of time.
Ask everyone what they'd like. Sure giving a surprise gift is exciting but asking people what they'd like means they will get exactly what they want (and will save you time browsing the shops!).
Do as much gift shopping as you can online. Carrying on from the point above, make sure you have a list before you start. Now is not the time for leisurely browsing hundreds of websites. The best thing about online shopping? That surprise in the mail, seriously, who doesn't love that?
Sit down, relax and forget about finding a carpark, going to a store which doesn't have the colour/size/style you are after and waiting in queues.
