Crafted in 9ct yellow gold, featuring a tasteful heart-shape padlock, this stunning bracelet from our Vintage Contemporary era is secured with a yellow gold diamond set puffed heart padlock clasp and a safety chain.
I love the audacity of this bracelet a classic example of 1990s “big gold” produced by the eccentric but charming Warrin brothers of Auckland. It represents that surprising inverse relationship that exists, when times are economically challenging people like to wear opulent jewellery. It is ironic to come across this relic from what was a time of protracted serious economic downturn in NZ during what may be a similar post covid recovery period. Tipping the scales at 152 grams it would have to be one of the heaviest ladies bracelets we have seen. The handmade byzantine links fit comfortably against the wrist and the padlock clasp, another design icon of that time, is embellished with pave set diamonds for a touch of added extravagance." -Joseph Tattersfield
