"What were the odds"

What is the most powerful symbol of romance?

I would say it has to be a heartfelt gesture. Making a delicious dinner, giving a stunning piece of jewelry, arranging a surprise picnic, sending a loving text or rubbing your partners feet after a long day ~ it is in how we treat one another.

What would be your dream romantic gesture?

Oh my gosh ~ Being whisked off for a romantic overseas trip somewhere. Anywhere.

I love my love story. My husband and I met when we were traveling through San Francisco. He is from London and I am from NZ. What were the odds what we would meet in a dining room in a hostel so far from our own countries. Locking eyes over the crowed hostel common room, it was pretty much love at first sight. The next 4 days were a jumble of hijacked pub crawls, cookie baking and face painting, delayed flights, Ben & Jerry's Ice-cream, deep & meaningful conversation over a 2 hour hand massage, feasting with friends, walking the streets of a welcoming city, a Christmas eve hug that lasted long enough for our souls to know that we were together now, and a declaration of love at the top of a staircase 3 days after our first kiss. The magic is still alive and well as we celebrate our 3 week wedding anniversary 7 years after we met.
