"The rest bloom of friendship"

What is the most powerful symbol of romance?

A rose. Like Anne and Gilbert in Anne of Green Gables, the most beautiful love stories have grown over time from the fresh bloom of friendship.

What would be your dream romantic gesture?

Being surprised after a tiring day with a hug, food, a listening ear and a caring heart. While presents are nice, it's the small gestures that mean the most to me.

Share a love story.

My parents were accidentally set up by my grandparents. My mum came from Malaysia to live and work in NZ. She didn't have any family here so my grandparents invited her over to celebrate Christmas. My dad thought she was cute, she thought he was annoying. However, over time as they served in leadership in church and got to know each other better, they gradually became friends and that friendship developed into love. To this day, they are still crazy about each other after nearly 27 years of marriage.
