"Bar hopping & dancing, just the two of us"

What is the most powerful symbol of romance?

This question can be interpreted and answered many ways. If we think if something physical then it has to be the heart shape. Everything I see it, I instantly think love and romance. But for me, symbol of romance is so much more than a physical object. It is the way your partner looks at you, the small gestures that mean so much more than the act itself. It's a warm embrace. The squeeze of a hand. It is trust, loyalty and unconditional love between two people, throughout everything life throws your way.

What would be your dream romantic gesture?

It would be something that was only shared between the two of us. A moment, with a view. Sunset, water or scenery. Something just for us. With good food, wine and time. A lot of time. A weekend away to a secluded, yet beautiful location where we could enjoy just being us.

Share a love story.

I guess this seems fitting to share my own. My fiancé and I are engaged to be married. He is the love of my life. He is the most understanding, patient, kind and caring man I have ever met. I met him when I least expected it, through friends. I had gone out for dinner with some girlfriends, and we decided to meet up with the guys for drink after they had been to the rugby. He was there. I knew of him, through these friends. He sat down next to me; he is very shy, and he didn't say much. His has these big brown eyes, which are honest and caring; it was instant attraction. We made small talk, but there was something about him that made me want to get to know him more. He went up to the bar, to get a drink. I followed. We chatted further, over cocktails, brought a few, tried them out and gave our verdict. It was fun. Our mutual friends deciddd to head home. We both stayed out, bar hopping and dancing, just the two of us. It was the best night! And that was us. The rest is history. We are both so happy! We now own a house together, have a cat and a dog and are planning our wedding. I couldn't imagine going through life without him by my side.
